The actual number of Kyrgyzstan casinos is something in question. As details from this state, out in the very remote central section of Central Asia, can be difficult to get, this might not be too surprising. Regardless if there are 2 or 3 accredited casinos is the item at issue, maybe not quite the most consequential slice of data that we do not have.

What will be correct, as it is of many of the ex-Russian states, and definitely truthful of those located in Asia, is that there no doubt will be a good many more illegal and clandestine gambling halls. The change to acceptable wagering did not energize all the aforestated locations to come out of the dark and become legitimate. So, the debate over the total number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling dens is a tiny one at most: how many accredited ones is the thing we’re trying to answer here.

We are aware that in Bishkek, the capital municipality, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a spectacularly unique name, don’t you think?), which has both gaming tables and slots. We will also find both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. Each of these offer 26 one armed bandits and 11 table games, split amidst roulette, chemin de fer, and poker. Given the remarkable likeness in the square footage and setup of these 2 Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it may be even more bizarre to determine that both share an address. This appears most difficult to believe, so we can clearly conclude that the number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling dens, at least the legal ones, is limited to two members, 1 of them having altered their title a short time ago.

The country, in common with practically all of the ex-USSR, has undergone something of a rapid adjustment to free-enterprise economy. The Wild East, you may say, to reference the anarchical conditions of the Wild West an aeon and a half back.

Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls are in fact worth going to, therefore, as a bit of anthropological research, to see chips being gambled as a type of social one-upmanship, the absolute consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in 19th century America.
